Duvet Construction
In order to avoid thermal bridges in our duvets, all of Ringsted's year-round and winter products are baffle boxed, separating the two layers of fabric surrounding the duvet.
This ensures that down is evenly distributed against the duvet walls.
This is in contrast to fixed-box construction, which forces the down away from the stitching, leaving uninsulated areas.
The number of cassettes in the product varies in relation to its quantity of filling. Low fill quantities require additional cassettes in order to keep the down in place while very warm winter duvets utilize fewer cassettes.
Before you buy a down comforter, this is a question to ask whether the product is baffle boxed, since it speaks for the quality.
