jersey cotton

What is Jersey? The name comes from "The Isle of Jersey", which is located in the channel between France and Britain. Originally, wool was used to produce knitted fabric, hence "Jersey Fabric". Nowadays, this knitting technique is being used with different materials, and commonly made with cotton fibers.

Jersey is a knitting technique where the loops are interlocked. It is different from a woven fabric, where the yarns crisscross perpendicular to each other. Jersey is known to be a little stretchier and softer and, wrinkles less. Our jersey duvet covers are made of 100% cotton.
